General Information
The San Jacinto Times began life as a district-wide publication at the beginning of
the fall semester 1990. It replaced the Central campus Texian, the North campus
North Star, and the South campus Southern Exposure and assumed responsibility
for covering the entire San Jacinto College District. In a very short time, the
Times established a tradition of excellence, winning All-American honors in the
paper's first year of publication. It continues the tradition each year.
