Everyone likes to receive awards. There is just something heart pumping about knowing a person can achieve his or her goals.
There are awards for spreading peace, for surviving war and even awards that mean nothing. Some people even make a living out of getting awards.

Recycling on campus should not be optional

We have all heard about recycling before. We hear about different organizations making efforts to reduce the contamination of the world, but what are we doing to help? Are we really doing something for our planet, the only planet we can live in?
If we recycle we contribute to use less amounts of non-renewable resources such as oil, coal, and natural gas; additionally, recycling also helps to reduce the use of natural resources such as water and trees.

Cars continue to ignore no parking zone

When do we cross the line between people just waiting on the students to get out of class and potentially hitting someone in the parking lot? This line has clearly been marked as "No Parking."
When someone pulls up to the front of the school to wait on or drop of your child or friend, it is dangerous to sit in idle in the no parking zone.

Discover San Jac at Central on March 30

Prospective students and their families are invited to attend "Discover San Jac," an open house and recruitment event featuring workshops in English and Spanish, at the San Jacinto College Central campus on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Trailer Park Musical coming to South

This production set in Armadillo Acres, a trailer park in Florida. This play is South Park meets Desperate Housewives, centered around a group of rednecks living in the trailer park.

The year was 1985, and in Seattle, Washington, a musical phenomenon was brewing. The halls are alive with the sound of music in the San Jac Music Department. It especially filled with excitement in the Steel Band and Choir rooms. Students are preparing to do something that has never been done before.
The Steel Band and the Choir have been preparing to unveil "In the Shadows of the Forest," a musical movement that tells stories and tales of Trinidadian Folklore.
